Cross-pin stabilisation of a distal femoral physeal fracture in a miniature Rex rabbit

A 5-month-old, female spayed, indoor miniature Rex rabbit weighing 1.4 kg was presented with right hindlimb lameness. On the day of presentation, while in a playpen, the rabbit was startled by a loud noise and became entangled in the net of the cage. While attempting to free itself, the rabbit's right hindlimb was injured. Severe lameness was noted afterwards.
